Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)

I chose this song with the help of my teacher, Ms Woods. It was really hard to pick a song that you could make a music video to without making it too complicated and this one seemed like it would be fairly simple to get the message across using videos and images.
I created this music video by taking some parts (which I thought I would be difficult to film) and I got the rest of my video from YouTube and I got all the images of people from my friends and my computer. The reason for getting the videos off YouTube was because whenever I would try to use my film it would studder or the msuic would not work so I had no other choice. Basically I tried to express what was being said in the song in pictures and videos, which I am pleased to say I think I did pretty well. Between most of the clips I used transitions where I thought it would be necessary, as well as speed up some of the clips to go in rhythm with the song, but other than that I did not use very many effects.

Poster

My artists name is Joel Meyerowitz. He is most famous for his black and white street photography which is why I noticed his photographs in the first place. I like his photographs not only becauase of the black and white style, but because many were taken in the streets on New York where there is a lot of culture. I tried to go into the streets and around Brussels to try and imitate his style of photographs. However, I am not pleased with my final product because I think I tried too hard to look for the exact image which I could never find and therefore wasted a lot of time when I could have taken a similar photograph with a "twist" of my own.

CD cover assignment

This is supposed to be an alternate cover to the Stadium Arcadium album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I tried to use the title for ideas for the cover and I used a picture of the band with the title behind them for the back cover in case it wasnt clear that this was the album.

The tools I used for this project were the lasso tool, move tool and got images from the internet.

I like the back of my final project but I don't like the front cover as much since it was almost one of my first times using it and therefore I did not copy and paste the planets very well. But I think I did the back pretty well with the bar code, copy warning, and the image of the band.

photoshop

This is my picture I edited using a person of a person and a different background. To do this I used the Magnetic Lasso Tool and selected the area I wanted to crop out. Then I moved it into the other picture using the Move Tool. Once it was in there I placed it where I wanted.

This is a picture of my friend Katie and I on a bus in Barcelona. I used cutout on this picture because this effect makes it look like a memory.
